Benefits Eligibility and Qualifications
Argosy encourages all employees to personally track and follow up with Human Resources on their eligibility for all benefits. Employees are responsible for completing all necessary applications and meeting all deadlines for enrollment. Employees are responsible for reporting any changes that may affect coverage and eligibility to Human Resources. Human Resources will assist you with any inquires, questions and needed information. Qualifications:
- "Designated Full Time Maintenance" and Salaried Employees qualify the first month after a 90-day waiting period from their date of hire or date of promotion into such position.
- "Seasonal and Part-time" Employees qualify upon achieving 1300 hours in the previous calendar year. The employee must then maintain a 12-month rolling total of 1300 hours from their anniversary date or 1300 hours in the previous calendar year (average 25 hours/week).
- Enrollment dates for all employees is the first month following the employee's qualifying date.
- January is open enrollment during which qualified employees can change, add to, or cancel medical coverage.
- Spouses and dependents of qualified employees can be enrolled and receive medical benefits at the employee's expense.
- An 18 month COBRA option for continued medical coverage is available, at employee's expense, if employee ceases to qualify due to either amenable termination or inability to maintain a 12-month rolling average of 25 hours/week.
